This ship was Admiral Lord Horatio Nelson's flagship during the epic sea battle to save England during October 1805 - the famous Battle of Trafalgar. 2005 saw the 200th Anniversary of the Battle, a most important occasion for England, steeped in history and courage.
Each handmade writing instrument has its barrel and cap etched in HMS Victory copper to represent the insignia of Nelson's rank (9 buttons from his lapel, 3 bands and 3 buttons from his cuffs).
The fittings are 10ct gold plating. The ebony and walnut presentation box has a plaque sat on the top, engraved with "The Admiral" in honour of Nelson.
Nibs are 10ct gold plated & in a choice of different widths. Ink is supplied via international standard ink cartridges or adaptor convertor available world-wide.
This limited edition of only 150 sets also has a Deed of Authenticity, signed by the manufacturer and authenticated by the Ministry of Defence (Victory is still a ship of the line), confirming that the materials used come from the vessel.
