This ship was Admiral Lord Horatio Nelson's flagship during the epic sea battle to save England during October 1805 - the famous Battle of Trafalgar. 2005 saw the 200th Anniversary of the Battle, a most important occasion for England, steeped in history and courage.
Each handmade writing instrument has its barrel and cap etched in HMS Victory copper to represent the insignia of Nelson's rank (9 buttons from his lapel, 3 bands and 3 buttons from his cuffs). An Amethyst, representing October, the month of victory in the Battle of Trafalgar, sits atop the cap.
